suggestions for New Years Eve Bubbly & Prime Rib vino!

Post by susan & herb »

Hi guys,
Since we have so many foodies on this forum I figured you guys would be the ones to have some suggestions for a great wine to go with a prime rib that we are having for our New Years Eve dinner. I am into white wines, so could use some red suggestions. Also would appreciate a good Champagne suggestion. Herb likes Veve Clicquot but was wondering if anyone had some other suggestions.
A few days early, but everyone have a healthy New Year.

Depending on how much you want to spend, I recommend the Tattinger Rose Champagne. It can be pricey but I just love it!

Susan, I just had a really nice red on Christmas Eve. It's called Meadowlark. We had a Cab. I got it at Wine Library but Gary's may have it as well.
Enjoy and Happy New Year to you as well!

We had prime rib for Christmas dinner and leftovers tonight.

For Christmas, we had a Rodney Strong Merlot; tonight we had a Kendall Jackson Merlot. Both run between $15 - $20.
