A couple of questions re Beach Bar & Quiet Mon

Post by Jan&MikeVa »

I was wondering what the tuna dish is at the Beach Bar that everyone raves about. Mike & I have never had food there and he wanted to try this tuna thing I keep telling him about. What's it called???

We have never been to Quiet Mon, and wanted to try it this trip. What is a blackout punch???

Thank you, thank you...............I'm getting excited now. Can't believe that December is FINALLY here!!!

I like the tuna bites at the beach bar and our friends love the tuna down now. They are both good.

Kenny at the Quiet Mon makes the blackout punch and while I have never had one, I am a dark and diet girl, out friend did and she loved it. I think there is red bull in it maybe??

No matter what you get at the Quiet Mon, if Kenny or Van is bartending, please tell them that Dominica says hi!

While MrsB may have ridden that particular pony more times than I, I have enjoyed a few on her recommendation. As I recall, through a blurry lens, it was something like Citron Limon, Red Bull, Mango nectar and some with grenadine. Sweet Christine is enjoying some on the left. Kenny C. was jealous because she would not give him a sip.

Hey guys, I have really dropped the ball here, been busy, busy, busy.

Anyhoo,
I think that recipe is the new delicious Mango Blackout punch he made this time.

The other one is about 1-1.5oz strawberry puree, about ? ozs (3, 4, 5?) of Stoli's Vodka, splash of red bull and splash of sprite or 7-up or diet sprite all over some ice in a 8oz cup.

You cannot taste the alcohol and thus you keep drinking them, after all, they go down so easy and then later so do you 8)
When will I see St John again?

Mango black-out punch? I must get back to Quiet Mon ASAP.

The recipe for the strawberry one is right (need to write it down). Don't know how much stoli's it has. Kenny just calls it a "strong pour." For the love of God, heed the locals' warnings and never drink more than three or you will be at Margarita Phil's using your sundress for a napkin while the waitress apparently molests you for pictures (or you never would've known...)

Or so I hear, because I'd never do that or anything.

Tuna Down Now is what everyone raves about, but when I was there Doug recommended the tuna bites. I've had both, and I have to say I like the tuna bites better but both are delicious.

That's what he gets for not sharing his Crown Royal with me at his birthday party.

Rick, are you sure Kenny C was just not his normal grumpy self.............:0

I have to try this blackout punch when I am there in about a month.
I tend to do bushwackers with Kenny at Quiet Mon and was thinking this time to do dark and stormy since they sound so good.
