Is this too much to do?

Post by asilk »

We arrive Saturday and are looking forward to our first stay. Here is kind of our plans.

Sunday - Honeymoon & Solomon beaches
Monday - Trunk Bay
Tuesday - BVI w/ Lion in Da Sun
Wednesday - dinghy day
Thursday - Reef Bay Trail w/National Park guide
Friday - heading back home

Also - where is a good place to hear some steel drum music?

Last - any recommendations to see some NFL games on Sunday? Sorry it's in the blood.

Thanks everyone!! This site has been a geat place to learn about STJ.

I don't think that's too much to do. Of course, I didn't really do much of anything...

I hear if you are a Pats fan, then Skinny Legs is the place to go on Sunday for the games. I'm not sure about the other places, but I know it's been discussed here before. Quiet Mon's been mentioned, the Tap Room, and I'm pretty sure I saw TVs at Woody's, if that helps.

I don't think it is too much to do but then again, we are beach people and tend to get moving in the morning (not much villa gravity in our group - we tend to cocktail around the pool for happy hour only)

That doesn't sound like too much at all.

Often times people post their schedules here and I think they're too jam-packed (for my vacation style anyway) but you'll have no problem doing all of that as long as the weather cooperates.

After you're done with your hike on Thursday you can head to your favorite beach from Wednesday or you could head out toward Coral Bay.

HI,

That sounds like a good plan to me - not too jam packed.

There has been lots of discussion regarding NFL sightings; hopefully someone who has recently returned will give you the low down.

have a great trip,

The important thing is to kick in to "island time." Even if you have plans, it's OK if villa gravity kicks in and you just chill instead.

I had the best intentions when I arrived on STJ. But at the end of the day, I really just wanted to go sit on the beach at Trunk instead of all the things on my list. Of course it might be different if you think this is your one trip to STJ. I'm planning to go back every year, so I knew if I missed something I could catch it next year.

We've ended up at the Quiet Mon twice to watch football (Feb 2007 we were there to watch the SuperBowl). It's where the locals go and I liked it.

Have an amazing trip - your itinerary sounds great and like LuLu said if you miss something, it's just more the reason to go back :)

Thanks everyone. We want to check out several different beaches and mainly just relax.

No live steel drum music on the island?
