Six on The Beach (SOTB) Days 3 and 4

Post by sea-nile »

Day 3 Monday

Today we went to Trunk Bay. This is my favorite beach when it is not crowded.
We snorkeled, and it was a little cloudy but not bad.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2043818021/" title="STJ Nov 07 071 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2400/204 ... 5ed400.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 071"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2043830365/" title="STJ Nov 07 080 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2140/204 ... dbdfa3.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 080"></a>

We made rum drinks on the beach and just enjoyed the view.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2067645986/" title="PB050047 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2015/206 ... 81ab55.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB050047"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2067645980/" title="PB050038 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2226/206 ... 084986.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB050038"></a>

Cypress, VaGirl and I stayed at Trunk and had burgers for lunch and the rest went to Shepwreck's landing.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2043830375/" title="STJ Nov 07 081 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2338/204 ... 03d90f.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 081"></a>

They can chime in here and tell you about that adventure.

It was a gorgeous day on Trunk and I just kept saying that I couldn't believe that I was here!

That evening we went in the pool and hot tub.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2043841033/" title="STJ Nov 07 086 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2341/204 ... de88af.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 086"></a>

JDW from the forum and some of her friends came over for some drinks and appetizers.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2044010573/" title="STJ Nov 07 113 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2006/204 ... ad7629.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 113"></a>

The sunset was beautiful!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2043859399/" title="STJ Nov 07 090 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2006/204 ... 87df64.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 090"></a>

Then we had a dinner of a yummy pasta dish that Betty made. What was the name of that dish?

Quote from my journal that night. "So, I've said WAY too much and told these women everything-what the he$%!
It is such a great time- too much alcohol-. But fun!" (and right now the other 5 are saying, if that is everything about you- you are pretty boring!)

Day 4 Tuesday

Boat day with Rev Stu and his wife Janelle.
This picture was taken on the National Park dock:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2066762591/" title="PB060101 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2070/206 ... 7d1a9b.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060101"></a>

I love this picture!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2066855931/" title="PB060065 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2225/206 ... 80169c.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060065"></a>
We stopped at Waterlemon first. The snorkeling was pretty good, but Cypress and I went around the cay clockwise and at the other side we got caught in some REALLY shallow stuff and were practically scraping ourselves on the bottom.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2044017925/" title="STJ Nov 07 130 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2003/204 ... f530a8.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 130"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2066762603/" title="PB060109 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2118/206 ... 3c20f7.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060109"></a>

Then we swam and had a few drinks.

Next we went to Tortola and went to a shopping area where we felt real young because everyone else there were Sr. Citizens.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2066855935/" title="PB060073 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2293/206 ... 6b2a70.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060073"></a>
We did a little shopping and went to the bar. This is where we decided our Gilligan's Island characters.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2044088357/" title="STJ Nov 07 144 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2332/204 ... 21c3c9.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 144"></a>

Next Jost Van Dyke and Foxy's.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2066855945/" title="PB060093 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2004/206 ... f9b83f.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060093"></a>

We met Foxy and took our pictures with him.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2067576614/" title="PB060132 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2286/206 ... efd619.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060132"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2067576600/" title="PB060130 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2343/206 ... 387721.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060130"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2067576608/" title="PB060131 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2035/206 ... 4c736a.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060131"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2066855953/" title="PB060094 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2126/206 ... 19ed99.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060094"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2044105947/" title="STJ Nov 07 152 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2059/204 ... b0a77a.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 152"></a>

Then to White Bay and we went to One Love and had Bushwhackers and had burgers at Jewel's. We weren't in any hurry so it was no big deal, but we think Jewel had to go slaughter the cow to make our burgers. They were SO delicious!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2044105975/" title="STJ Nov 07 159 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2373/204 ... fdac4f.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 159"></a>

We saw Verve from the forum at One Love.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2068812802/" title="DSC_2077 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2003/206 ... d3f69b.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="DSC_2077"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2067660636/" title="PB060119 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2190/206 ... b63504.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060119"></a>

We wrote our names on the bar at One Love, so look for it if you are there. SIX on the Beach 2007 and we signed our names.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2067761550/" title="PB060116 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2408/206 ... 19c470.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060116"></a>

It was Rev Stu's Birthday so we had a cake for him and celebrated a little.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2067576634/" title="PB060139 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2078/206 ... 4d1217.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="PB060139"></a>

It was such a great day out on the beautiful water!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2066718267/" title="IMG_0781 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2224/206 ... 4c2736.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_0781"></a>

We went back to the villa and swam (skinny dipped) and went in the hot tub again. We had nachos for dinner.
To bed early again!

Looks like you ladies are really showin' 'em how it's done. :)
Enjoying your reports so far.

(I love the picture in the first installment, with everyone in the water with the standard One Hand Up To Hold The Drink pose. ) :)

Hi Tom:

We actually asked Stu about those ruins and he told us that the building was the old customs building to the BVI's. At least that is what I think he said??? Stu are you out there?

I think you're right, Bug.....I just remember he kinda slowed down and let us take a picture, we were all so taken with how rustic and beautiful it looked.

And yet another perfect 2 days. Great trip report. I luv One Love Bar (even prefer it to Soggy Dollar Bar), probably because the drinks are stronger (ha! ha!). Was that fabulous musician there playing and singing (good regae tunes)? Thanks for sharing, especially those great pics, I really needed it today....hmmm, feeling better already! Ali~
