SOTB trip report days 1 and 2

Post by sea-nile »

I agreed to write the trip report. I did take notes, but they aren't very thorough and they are very messy!
Hey, other SOTB women, if I left something out or got something wrong, just add to the report. I promise that I will leave out those "What happens in STJ stays in STJ" things.

I have to say though, that when we played our truth or dare, I told these women some things about myself that I haven't told anyone else.
I had a wonderful time and I can't wait to do it again!!!

Also, fellow SOTB'ers, I know Bug has sent me all of your pictures, but our pony express mail hasn't delivered them yet, so I may add some of your pictures later.

Day 1

I was the first to arrive in STT and I was to wait on Bug and VaGirl at the bar. Bug and I found each other first and then we found VaGirl- her flight was a little late. Then we were off to STJ! 8)

We got the rental car and Bug drove us to the villa. (We were tempted to go to the Beach Bar for a drink, but decided we really just wanted to get to the villa). Betty had arrived the day before and was making our dinner. We arrived to a full fridge (Betty did the shopping!). We made up some cocktails and went out to see the view, which was fabulous! We stayed at Sea Forever. I can't speak for everyone, but I thought it was fabulous! Lisa and VaGirl insisted that I have my own room and they shared one. I really appreciated this. The room was very nice. Thanks Girls!!!

Later Bug went to pick up CypressGirl and Lisa and we were all together. It was so great for everyone to meet in person after 9 months of talking via e-mail.
(We posted that picture of us all the first day. I was going to put it here, but it wasn't taken with my camera.)

RickG and Christine came over for a visit and we sat on the deck and had some cocktails and conversation. Rick and Christine are very nice people! They look younger in person and are even nicer in person. :D

After our guests left, we ate our yummy dinner and then swam in the pool and went in the hot tub. What a great start to our trip in paradise!

Day 2

We went to Maho and met Rick and Christine there. It was a gorgeous day. We did some snorkeling and saw a VERY large fish (I think it was a tarpon). Cypress and Bug said it was over 7 feet long and I wasn't quite sure. Bug and Cypress swam back to shore very quickly. (Was this the fish?)

Nascarfan and Kelly were there at Maho too. It was really nice to meet them.
I guess Rick went down the beach and talked to some lurkers who knew that we were the SOTB, but they didn't come and talk to us.

We made rum drinks and partied in the water all day. It was a great time.

Later, we arrived at the Beach Bar very happy, if you know what I mean. We met a lot of other forum members there and some new people too.

We had dinner at the Banana Deck and it was very delicious.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/2025740365/" title="STJ Nov 07 044 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2004/202 ... 70b7ff.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="STJ Nov 07 044"></a>

We went home and I think we just went to bed. I didn't write anything else down for that day.

Killer time! Y'all are hoot. Wow, that was an impressive picture of a strawberry grouper.

Truth or dare? Did you take notes on that subject?

Cheers, RickG

Well, let me tell you....when I see a fishy that is bigger than me, I don't really care what the heck kind of fish it is. I'm outta there!!! I got a pic of him when he swam underneath me but the only thing on the pic was his tail.

Image

That's how big he was  Besides that, Cypress kept asking if it was a shark (only because she didn't get a look at him - only the size of him) and I didn't want her to hyperventalate in the ocean and have to save her

XOXO
