New St. John Magazine

Post by Ksea »

Perhaps one of you locals (Pia or Ruth hint hint) will pick up a copy of this new magazine and let us know how you like it!
Those of us far far away can subscribe for $20.00 per year for two issues.

Thanks in advance!

I just picked up my copy at Connections an hour ago.
I haven't read all the articles yet, but the magazine is absolutely beautiful. You all are going to love it!

Ruth, are you going to sell it at your store? If not I will just subscribe directly.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Ruth, is there a picture of 5 adults and 4 children at a table eating at Skinny Legs? We had just finished snorkeling, and did not look great. We were asked if we would mind having a picture taken as they had been looking for a large group. Thanks

I think it is $10 an issue or $20 a year (two issues).

Yep, that's what it is according to the website.

Ruth, how much does it cost on island?

Does it have ads? I'd be willing to pay for a nice-sized, high-quality magazine without ads. $20 per issue does seem quite steep, though...

I thought I had read somewhere it was $20.00 for 2 issues....then when I went back to place a subscription it said $40.00 for 2 issues. So I was confused. Does anybody know the actual price? Don't think I'm gonna be doing $40.00 for just 2 issues (although I'm sure it beautiful!).

It did go up. It was $20 and now the web site says $40. I think 40 is to much for just 2 issues.

I agree. There are many STJ books available for $20 or less, and I'd rather buy one of them over a magazine.

I'd love to buy the magazine, but not at that price.

One more example of how upscale STJ is becoming. Definitely a niche market. Not a niche that I fit into. I wasn't biting at $10 per issue. As mentioned, any of the guidebooks is cheaper than a copy of this magazine and Steve Simonsen's lovely book of art photos is $60.
