Cruz Views

Post by sailorgirl »

Didn't want to hijack Kirk's thread. Are there any units you wouldn't reccomend? I checked out Cruz Views website and it lists the off season price at 150/night. CV's web site ( I guess they rep them) had prices from 125-200/night for off season. Can anyone clarify?.

Alos where exactly are they? One poster talked about the construction " across the bay" Is that the building that's going up just past town on the road out ?

Thanks, now you got me thinking of a trip next summer :-)

Sailorgirl,
To get to Cruzviews you go out of town up Centerline at the left curve go straight (right)up a steep hill. Cruz Views is on the right. I don't know the name of the street. Not far out of town but not easy to walk (we did it ONCE). :?

We are staying there 11/27-12/2 Unit #1 for $125 a night.

The construction is to the left of this location - the BIG construction over Cruz Bay and does not obstruct the view.

Hope this helps :)

The unit price range is due to the fact that some units are nicer than others and also some are single bedrooms v. 2 bedrooms (which means a bedroom and a loft). I highly recommend #10 and I'm staying at #7 in February. We stayed one night in #3 a couple years ago and it was right over the pool so not as private. Happy planning!

Stayed in 8 first time a/c 2 years ago wasn't very good did keep bedroom ok great porch like a little jungle. Can't see sunset in summer months but I would guess ya can see it in the fall and winter.
#7 second trip smaller than 8 a/c was better same situation with the sunset thoght it was in a little better condition.
#3 this trip A/C rocked downstairs loft not so great A/C. Great view of sunsets awesome bathroom, kitchen partially updated great patio furniture [rockers] liked this one the best out of the 3.
Ten and seven have been updated this is reflected in the price. The ones we've stayed in are a little dated but work fine for us and they are always clean. they work great for us when we go by ourselves.
Yea the Hill is a killer we'll call it heart attack drive, It's so steep it's not even easy to walk down. If ya zig zag it helps if ya walk. I prefer a jeep for it but have walked it many times.

I have stayed in 2 different Cruz View units and my neice and her husband another. I have always found them to be clean and comfortable. If looking into a 2 bdrm be sure to find out how accessible the loft is. One of the ones I had stayed in had what they called a captain's ladder to the loft. It was VERY steep, and not something you would want to be going up or down half asleep or half lit. The hill was workable going down but coming up was a different story. Walked up once or twice but gladly paid the couple of bucks to get a ride up from one of the taxis.
