miss lucy's

Post by jimbob »

Tell me what time I should be at Miss Lucy's for Sunday brunch and what I can expect once I am there. Also, is there jazz music played at this time of the season and if so, what time do the musicians perform?

Go earlier rather than later. They do run out of items.

I wanted to get there about 10:00 or 10:30, but we didn't make it until about 11:00 and there was no seating outside, so we ended up inside. Not bad... inside was really nice and you still get the great views through the screens. But my suggestion is that you get there around 10-ish if you want a table outside. :D

we will actually be there on 2 Sunday's for this trip but still not sure we will make it to Miss Lucy's. The first Sunday we will be at Gallow's and won't have our car until that afternoon. The second Sunday is the day, dare I say it, we leave! Would it be crazy to try and do it that day. Our flight is 4pm that day.
Thoughts?

Mary Beth - You really should TRY to get to Miss Lucy's for brunch. The banana pancakes are to die for! Maybe you can get your rental car early? Or try an adventure on the (dare I say it?) bus? Do taxis go out that far? Miss Lucy's brunch was one of the best meals I had on island. :D

Mary Beth, this is just my opinion but I think you'd be pushing it to go to Miss Lucy's the day you leave. You have to factor in the time they start serving (10, right?) how long it would take to be served and eat (slow), to get back to Cruz Bay (at least 30 minutes), then you have to return your car, take the ferry over to STT and get to the airport (another hour at least, maybe longer depending on how you hit the ferry), and then do the whole airport thing.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I agree with liamsaunt. I think it's too tight and you don't want to add stress to a perfect vacation. You will just have to go back another time to enjoy :)

Thanks. Somehow I thought they started at 9 but if it is 10 it is certainly out.
OK... so another time it is! LOL

CG, we could try and hot foot it out there the first Sunday but I have a feeling gravity will get the best of me :)

Thoughts? Walk down to Sun Dog for brunch! You may like it so much you'll go back on day of depature.
Hopefully they'll be serving the Baileys dipped French toast - I think it was a special.
It may be considered sacrilegious by some, but the food at the Sun Dog brunch blows Miss Lucys away.
I know, I know, its more about the the views, vibe, etc. at Miss Lucys but we ordered "specials" at her brunch that were anything but. If we went back, we would stick to the regular breakfast items.

JMQ, SunDog is what we plan to do our first Sunday.

I think Miss Lucy's is open for lunch, right? Maybe we will hit it when we are out that way one day. I will report back ;)
