Ok, don't y'all laugh at my bizarre question, but you're all the seasoned pros here.

As you know, we've decided to take a rolling cooler full of supplies down with us and then use it to go to the beach during the week.

I want to hear about your coolers. Pros, cons, sizes, etc. Pictures if you have them.

I thought I might take advantage of the fact that no one else in the world thinks of buying coolers in November and try to get a good deal.

I didn't realize that there were that many choices for rolling coolers these days.

We're not taking a rolling cooler, but we did pick up a collapsable cooler at a Sporting Goods Store. Stores nicely in the luggage and holds up to 24 cans (what can I say, I like my beer) . Was only $25, sorry no pics.

This is what I use it has back pack straps for going to the beach and keep the meat froze on the way down

I bought an igloo with wheels cheap that worked well for us. I gave it away with our left over sodas the day we left.

I'll second waterguy's polar bear cooler recommendation.

They cost a little more, but the quality is second to none - and the company's customer service is, in my opinion, unmatched.

I had never heard of them before I found this board, but I now have one in every size, and have bought a number of them as gifts.

I almost bought a collapsible rolling UT cooler for ridiculously cheap on ebay today, but I didn't. My purse is still in shock from winning that iPod last week.

Sorry for the dumb question (we didn't try bringing any food this last time), but do you guys check these coolers in, or use them as carry ons? I'm guessing you check it in if you're saying you use it to take the booze home.

We are in the pre-planning (figuring who can join us, etc.) stages for the next trip already, and I would like to bring some meat next time to help save moolah.

It sounds like you could take them as a carry-on, but I'd rather check it and not deal with it until I get to STT.

I like the fact that is has wheels that can be detached, so I can pull it or carry it. My plan is to pack some frozen, packaged steaks (e.g. Omaha Steaks) in the bottom and pack my kids' stuff on top. It can be used as carry-on luggage.
