Not the homemade variety that you provided 6 on the beach the recipe to, I think I remember you making the same reference to a brand of beer you bought on island (a stout maybe?).
We're actually getting close enough that I can contact Mixology with our booze order - what a milestone!

Hmmmmm, the motto for Guinness Foreign Extra Stout is "Strength!"
Actually, Foreign Extra Stout is a problem for Mixology. You need to be very specific when you order it: Guiness, bottles, 7.5% alcohol, paper labels - you know "Guinness Foreign Extra Stout."
Starfish is a better bet. They also have Dragon, Ceres, and a couple of others.
Another good spot to get one is the small concession stand next to La Tapa, at $2!
When you buy this stuff from a West Indian lady she WILL comment. "Ladies, watch out, he is taking his medicine!"
Cheers, RickG

Have you ever heard of the local Guavaberry Wine? Only a few people make it on STJ, and many refer to it as island viagra. Be warned tho, it is served in shot form
and after surviving the experience on a dare, i would suggest getting a beer chaser. This stuff is mighty powerful, and do not drink this stuff near an open flame!

I look for Guavaberry wine when we are on island for Carnival. I like the versions made with rum, though I have seen grain alcohol based versions. Its quite citrusy and tasty, in a liquor sort of way. The Guavaberry Licqeur from St. Martin is very sweet and quite different. Though, it works well in a hot tub when its snowing.USVISuzyQ wrote:Have you ever heard of the local Guavaberry Wine? Only a few people make it on STJ, and many refer to it as island viagra.
