We got to get out in hurricane hole via dinghy rented from Crabby's on the East End. It is beautiful and very different from the north shore beaches. Beautiful sealife rich mangrooves along the shores. There are a few beaches that you can hop out of your dinghy and swim to but they were a bit rocky.

We found it very peaceful and a great way to spend a 1/2 day.

I would love to see that picture, Islandgirl! Where did you find it? I didn't think there was a beach there either.

I went to a beach in Hurricane Hole....here's a pic

Image

We got there by renting a dingy. As far as I know there is no trail to it. One must bushwack through the brush or go by boat....lots of starfish there

Is this hurricane hole? If so what is the bay in the upper right of the photo with all the sailboats? I took this and many more from a helicopter. I'd love to get them all labeled with the location. Anyone willing to help??? Here are the links to my aerial photo albums. You can leave comments on the photos with the locations. Thanks......:D :D PS. Each albul has multiple pages.

Doug6105,
That is Coral Bay in the upper right of your photo. I'll take a look at your other albums and try to help.

To anyone trying to get to that beach in Hurricane Hole; The only way I know of to get there is by water and I believe Crabby's is NO LONGER renting dingys due to insurance costs however I think he rents sea kayacks. Good Luck getting there.

Doug6105,
That is Hurrican Hole in your pic, that lone sailboat is in an inlet(?) of Hurricane Hole called Borck Creek.
