Texan lime-n-coconut

Post by msgcolleen »

Just had to share a new recipe that helped me re-live my vacation just a month ago:

#1- Go to 7-11 and get a Pina-colada slurpie
#2 - Go home and pour Cruzan Rum and the juice of 1 lime over the slurpie! Sit in the back yard and dream about sticking your toes in the sand at Cinnamon Bay!

We are only 250 miles from each other! There must be a 7-11 on I-45 that we can meet for a drink!

Cat, that's a great idea. I have a few extra bedrooms with Littlecyp in college. We could have a forum reunion at my house. I'm really serious :!:

I know I say RickG is a genius, but this might take the cake! Now, where is the nearest 7-11!

Did you ever try rum in a mango slushi/smoothie?
I was at an event that had no alcohol and it was about 100 degrees, so I had a mango slushi. I just kept imagining that a shot or 2 of Cruzan would have been soooo good in it! 8)

The problem is finding a 7-11 that has the Pina-colada Slurpee flavor. I went back and they switched flavors on me! :?
Maybe Cruzan & Coke Slurpee would be my second choice!

Love the plan Cypressgirl & Cat! Just need to figure out how to tell hubby "I'm meeting some girls for Slurpies in Houston! Be back in a few days!"

You can go to Sonic and get a coconut/pineapple slush. Add your favorite Cruzan and you're good to go!
I'm down by Corpus Christi...Cypressgirl...it looks like you're in the middle of all of us. When's the party???!!!

OK cypressgirl - we'll be back in Houston next Feburary. We have to do a hook-up then.

I agree about convincing hubby! He thinks I am crazy most of the time anyway! It will be a few months before I have a weekend that isn't already scheduled...That is the problem with retail! I am off when everyone else is working!

Feb. sounds like a plan. You'll have to show me some of the Houston night spots. We don't get out much here in the burbs. At least you won't sweat to death in Feb. It's one of the few months we have that may acutally be a little cold, although we've been known to heat up the pool and swim that time of year. I guess being from Fl. you're in the same weather pattern.
