We just got back to Virginia after 10 days of living life the way it should be--on St John. This was our first trip back since 98 so there were a few changes to the island, but the beauty and magic is still there. This time we brought 3 newbies with us so it was fun seeing it throught there eyes too. I just wanted to thank all of you who provided me with such valuable information..to Waterguy-the boys loved fishing with Double-header, they caught mahi and tuna and had to fight the sharks for the tuna!! To Pia-The charter with Lion-in-da-sun was geat and we enjoyed being able to choose our own destinations. To Xisland girl-Rachel was such a sweet person who you knew was just so proud of her island-and loved telling stories as she drove you around. To Ruth-all your info and suggestions made our trip one we will never forget. It was fun meeting "friends" I hadn't ever met before at the Beach Bar. My son and his wife bought me a "forum" koozie from Ruth's store the day we got there and you'd be suprised how many people responded to that thing!! My family used to tease me about how much time I spent on the forum but after the last 10 days I think you have earned their respect. Thanks again everyone-you mad our trip something we will never forget. Is it too soon to start planning our return?

Welcome back to VA! Im glad you had such a wonderful time. It is never to soon to plan the next trip to STJ :wink:

It was really a pleasure to meet you and your gang and it was fun to see how much you were all properly enjoying yourselves.

Glad you and your gang had a great time! Just a few weeks ago, our boys had a blast on Double Header too!
Nothin' like super fresh mahi & tuna for dinner!

Hope you don't have to wait another 9 years to get back to STJ! Post some pics if you get a chance . . .
I've got 2 tickets to paradise~Pack your bags we'll leave tonight!

Welcome back! I am glad you had a great time too.
My family respected my forum addiction more after going to STJ too. I think they appreciated all of the research that I did because it made the trip better for them. :)

It is never too soon to plan the next trip. I am already trying to figure out how I will get back there after the Nov. trip.
