I have nothing but positive things to say about rash guard shirts! My whole family {except my wife}wore these type of shirts on S.T.J. back in July.No one except my wife had sunburn on their backs. I will never leave home without them again. Parafins...

Agree. Live in these shirts when in the islands, now use em at the pool and beach too. Prevents sunburn from sunblock wearing off while snorkeling and do not need to get more stuff to play connect the dots with on my back.

Why swim in a heavy wet T shirt? Rash guards are lightweight and dry quickly, however may be tough to fit plus sizes. The new O'Neill 24/7 shirts are lighter weight and looser fitting.

jimg20 - lotsa rashguards are designed more for 20 something yr old surfer bodies and can be mighty snug. That said, both the mens and womens O'Neill 24/7 shirts that we ordered are a looser fit by design so are more true to size.

CAgirl - small world. We couldnt find what we wanted in NJ surf shops (although didnt make it down to RonJon) and google found killerdana.

2 of my boy's shirts came from Target this past spring. I think I bought them for under $10.00! My daughter and I bought ours at Dick's sporting goods in Mishawaka,In. I paid quite a bit more for those. Parafins....
