Anyone Ever See Foxy?

taking our 5th trip to STJ in a few days, we always take a day trip to Jost so my wife can see and meet Foxy, we are 0-4, just wondering if anyone has ever seen or met him in the summer months? we would like to know he will be around this time.

No idea when he's there or not, but he was at Foxy's last July when I was there...

He's around a lot, but I don't think he has a schedule he keeps. But a couple of months ago, we sat and had a nice chat, and we sang too.....

We've seen Foxy numerous times -

The best time to see him and get some personal time is to go early (11am or so) - it's pretty quiet and he'll come out and hang for awhile. Last time we had lunch with him - he's so nice.

I know he goes up North (Mass?) for a regatta every year, but I can't remember when that is?

We were fortunate enough to meet him and have him sing for us a bit. He is quite and entertainer!! We were there early too, before lunch.

We saw him in May of 03, but he wasn't performing. We just got to chat on the dock as we were leaving.

We were there in late June and Foxy was no where in sight. I look forward to meeting him someday!

Wow. Sorry. I have no idea how that happened!

We were there twice last week and did not see him...day or night. We did see him just after New Year's this January at lunch time but was a photo op only. Our kids were thrilled! Good luck!

not to be a downer, but I could have sworn I heard he is suffering from lung cancer-hence the recent no-shows...

I also heard similiar sad news--that he had throat surgery and would not be performing anytime soon.
Lets hope these are just ugly rumors. Had hoped we would see him in November.

I haven't heard anything about lung cancer, but I do know that he had surgery last year for pollops on his vocal kords and hasn't been preforming. I spoke with him briefly when we were on Jost in Feb. He was hanging out around 10:30 or so in the morning when we cleared customs. The previous Feb he played and sang all afternoon on a friday in Feb. There are some pictures of him in this slide show from the previous year when he preformed.
