Fare Watch - Any thoughts

Post by lbjpryan »

Just booked for June 08 and while most airlines are not publishing rates that far out I wanted to know the best way to monitor fares. I am coming from Little Rock and most likely would fly from ATL to STT...Leaving from Tulsa, Dallas, STL, Memphis, etc is not out of the question.

Any thoughts??

I would look at kayak.com They will "alert" you when there is a lower rate at the time that you are looking at. They also check many different sites. You will probably also want to check at Delta.com. I think that they often have the best prices out of Atlanta. Good luck! (I'm searching too right now.)

We use American Express fare watcher. They deal with all the airlines from different hubs.

Good Luck

We got our best price at the end of june this year from Delta out of Houston. Not cheap but the best price we could find from multiple sites. We are in Lafayette so we tried there and New Orleans as places to leave from with any airline option.

Travelocity has a farewatcher that you can set the price and if it drops below that price they email you.
Try to find a good price(ask friends or this forum)from your nearest or surrounding airports and then set that price, travelocity will email you when it drop below that price. Good Luck

First time poster here, so my advice isn't what I'd consider expert. I've had success monitoring fares on www.sidestep.com. This site is very similar to kayak.com - it will monitor fares from both airline's websites and sites such as Expedia. We booked a September flight in May when we saw prices drop and thankfully, they haven't gone any lower since. Good luck!
