I was in STJ last month for a week, and I didn't go to either. Now I guess I have at least two good reasons for going back!

As much as I like Woody's, I have to say the Beach Bar is better if for nothing else but the location. It's great to be able to sit there and look at the ocean and hear the waves splashing on the sand while drinking a fu-fu drink and limin'!

PS Their Bushwackers kick butt too

I agree with Bug - you can't beat that location. I think it's the same reason I prefer Island Blues to Skinny Legs.

How can you not opt for the place where you can sit there and drink/eat and overlook the water?

I agree with Bug & nothin, Location,Location, Location. While Woody's is a fun place, sitting watching the sunset, the water or just listening to it just can't be beat.

After 5 years of living on STJ, I can say that I never hung out at Woody's. This last trip was the first time and while it was fun, I prefer the Beach Bar. The view is better and there are no exhaust fumes to worry about.

Woody's...stand in the street and listen to drunken women yell "woohoo." To me, it's your typical Wisconsin bar.

Beach Bar is more chill, which I prefer. Just one man's opinion.
Wisconsin, smell the dairy air

Woodys always seems a little too crazy and crowded for my taste. I like the Beach Bar for the views and music.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Love 'em both, and for different reasons. Do have some great Woody's memories. Have to admit that on my last trip only went to Woody's one time. Spent more over at the Beach Bar...the atmosphere is so much better, and that view....geeze, once you sit there and watch one sunset, you're done.
