Whoo, caught up after being gone for 9 days!

Post by RickG »

A lot's been going on since Christine and I left for a week in Colorado. obsessedmuch, we drank a beer in your honor at New Belgium Brewing!

Driving up Sunshine Canyon Road, West of Boulder, once we got into the mountains past the view of the flatlands gave us a shocking view - it looked like our view from Ajax Peak minus the water and sailboats. I had one of those aching moments of longing for STJ.

It was great to spend an hour catching up on the posts. It looks like the summer equilibrium is setting in. We'll be starved for trip reports soon.

I just finished read Ann Vanderhoof's "An Embarrassment of Mangoes" about their 2 year sailing trip through the islands. This is something I would really love to do. I think its time for the 8 year plan. That's enough time to learn how to sail and get my youngest off to college.

Also, today is Virgin Islands Emancipation Day!

Cheers, RickG

Nice, Rick! I love New Belgium's brews! (They are the maker of the ever-popular Fat Tire, for those who may not be familiar.) They have a summer brew called Skinny Dip that's pretty nice, too!

Anyway, welcome back. :) Sorry we didn't have time to coordinate. Next time, we'll crack open a few together!

welcome back, RG. I thought it's been mighty quiet without you around!
We are off to Maine on Thursday, for 10 days. Then it's going to be a dry spell until November. You think I can go that long without planning a trip?????
HA - me thinks not!
