Can't Take It .............

Post by njhdrider »

Here it is just over one month before our trip to St John and I am losing my mind. I can't wait to board that big silver bird and head south...Everything is in place, including the care of my the dog and cats. The Dog is going to Grandmas and my eldest son is watching the cats, even the animals have a vacation...I am looking foward to showing our little ones St John's magic...by the way the young ones are 16. Thank you for letting me vent here.........

We're here for you. There is power in numbers, we'll do what we can, but............we're addicted too.

The excitement is half the fun; let your mind wander, it's okay. :P :P

Happy Planning.........it's almost time.

Thanks for the support and kind words....Living in NJ kind words are far and few in between...usually its just a wave of a single finger...LOL....This will be the first time back on St John in over 35 years...my parents took us there back in the seventies when I was a child, and I want my kids to be exposed to the island and hopefully the magic will bite them.....

Thanks again for the support...you are too kind...

LOL

njhdrider - 35 years since your last STJ visit! Wow...a few things have changed on island, but the vibe is still there as well as the beautiful beaches. Christ of the Caribbean is gone from its perch above Hawsknest/Gibney and you can't drive straight out to Leinster (Marilyn in 1995 claimed both of those). But the views remain unchanged.

My grandmother-in-law has a beach house in NJ, but it's still not the same as being on island (we're from PA).

ENJOY your time there...we visited in 1994 for the first time and it took us 6 years until we got back. Now we're going 2x year if we can.
If you don't take risks, you'll have a wasted soul.

Don't you just love NJ? There are some kind people here, you just have to look deep!!

My mother-in-law also has a home in down the shore and we go there all the time, but you are so right, it's no stj.

Enjoy your trip!

We make our reservations to return the next year the day before we leave....and then start counting....11 months 29 days etc. Today it is four weeks and two days and I can't think of anything else.....but if we have to have an addiction  why not St. John??
