Is there somewhere close to the ferry dock I can get some Chandon champagne?

Mixology would be the closest. It's only about a "block" or so from the ferry (there really aren't blocks on STJ). I could try to explain how to get there, but it would be the kind of directions that start with..."well, there's a street that goes uphill, you'll see Hercule's Pates on your right..." Just ask anyone once you get off the ferry, they'll steer you there.
