I know you are already gone...but when you get back let me know how the flight was from DC. If you are checking the forum while on STJ...Hope you had a safe trip and are loving it!

Ksea,

I can answer a little bit on flying from DC. Is this your first time? We live in Manassas not too far from you. The first trip we flew from Dulles to San Juan, no problem at all, Last year we flew Dulles to Atlanta. We left a little late from the gate, caused us to be late at Atlanta and had to run like mad people to a another terminal and barely made our flight to St. Thomas. Atlanta airport is huge! This year were going back through San Juan. I have heard good things about flying Spirit through National Reagan to Ft. Lauderdale. Might try that one next year. Have not tried the connection through Charlotte yet either, I think that is from US Air which I have heard really bad things about with lost luggage. If you have any questions let me know or if anyone can add to this for Ksea. I really wish there were more direct flights from our area!
