T-3 pretrip status and overview
T-3 pretrip status and overview
Well, here we are less than 72 hours from our 6:00 am flight on Friday.
This year my wife and I are traveling without the kids and celebrating our 20th anniversary. Flights are AA, IAH-MIA with a 50 min layover and then on to STT arriving at 1:05. We are using Rachel again, and will make the 2 or 3 pm ferry. Staying our first night at Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel before moving to our villa, Wings Over Water on Saturday afternoon.
My original plan was to do carry-on and ship the snorkel gear and sunscreen to Connections, but when I started putting the box together it was practically the size of a small suitcase. We have a free checked bag, so just decided to do that with the gear and liquids instead.
I'm packing that bag tonight just in case I've forgotten anything or find something broken. Clothes can be thrown together on Thursday.
Very loose plans as always, but Saturday am we might hike over to Salomon for an early swim before checking out of CBBH and getting our jeep.... Or we might just sleep in and go to Jakes and visit the ACC.
Celebration dinner at Zozos on the 23rd (anniversary actually on the 18th)
That's it...beaches and pool and bars and meeting forum pals and going wherever. This is our first trip without a boat day over to BVIs and Soggy Dollar. If someone were to hit us up at the last minute to share one we might consider it but otherwise Mic will have to see us on another trip.
Now to get back to the work I can't seem to focus on!

Congrats on the anniversary! Our 20th is next summer and we are planning the trip now.
I had the same experience with the snorkel gear/shipping a box. It was easier to check the bag.

T-2 and counting for us, also cannot focus at work. We're celebrating 19 years today, so congrats on your anniversary. Pouring over multiple lists today hoping I don't forget anything. This is our 4th trip down and the goal this year is to slow way down, no planning, go with the flow each day. We are staying at Sea Cottage on Bordeaux followed by a few nights at Amore in Cruz Bay. No kids for us this time either. Maybe we'll cross paths.

Trip 7 coming in t-minus 4 days. Headed to the rock on Monday.
Congrats on the 20th anniversary and serious props on the villa selection. Wings looks awesome. Have never done the villa that's basically right on or above the water, but bet that'll be great.

Thanks 54b. This is trip 5 for us and I can't remember being so ready to get there as I am this year. I'm also excited about the villa and the proximity to the water and wave sounds.

Wings over Water...I am absolutely 
with envy !! Have looked and dreamed about staying there ever since it first listed ! Oh well...wasn't in the budget this year...not with the HUGE $$$ we had to pay for flights out of Charlotte ! 
But can tell you from previous stay at Acqua Blu...being close to the water like that is very NICE !
