The joy of a double ticker
Confirmed today that the next St John trip is officially on! This will make coming back from my upcoming trip a little easier I think.
Another August trip for me this year. Last year it was with my two adult sons. This year will be my 15 year old daughter and her good friend who is like another daughter to me.
Now to play the waiting game on airfare - I hate that part. Villa search is so far narrowed down to about 10 choices. I will probably post for some help/suggestions when that gets narrowed down to 4 or 5.
Figure I'll just do my jeep reservation when I'm on island next month picking up that jeep.
I am feeling very blessed right now

That is awesome! We have never been down there in the summer. Is there much of a difference in the weather?

It is a little hotter, but didn't seem too different to me. I love the heat, so I may not have noticed. The water temperature was definitely warmer though. The biggest difference we noted was the Sahara dust. It was quite bad last August, which is a blessing and a curse. It keeps storms away they say, but I did notice it was a little harder to breathe (I have lung issues anyway) and the sky was hazy.

Life is Grand to have a ticker...let alone 2!! LOL Congrats. I do recall the fat and sassy days back in '05 when we had 3 trips in the span of 13 months...2 to STJ and a 5 day Sailboat to the BVI with 3 other couples...
But then I was only $1Mil shy of my FIRST Mil...Now I'm just $1.5 Million shy of my FIRST Mil.

1.5 mil shy, yep that's about where I am too
I blame you - talking about trip being almost over before you even get there. It reminded me that last year the only thing that made it bearable was knowing I was bringing my boys down in August.
I looked at my daughter and said, wouldn't you rather go in August and not miss water polo stuff next April?
It worked.
