St John Guest Suites

Post by Myers112 »

My husband and I just returned from our first visit to St John. The only word to describe our trip is "perfect." My husband came across St John Guest Suites on VRBO. Having some questions I called and spoke to the owner Beth. We talked for close to an hour. She answered every one of our questions and offered so many helpful suggestions. Everything from car rental and ferry schedules to restaurants and excursions. When I hung up I knew St John Guest Suites was the place for us to stay. So off we went! Jim, owner and Beth's husband, was there to meet us as we exited the car barge. Upon arriving at the suites, Jim gave us a thorough tour of their beautiful property. An infinity pool, washer and dryer and a gorgeous outdoor kitchen for guests use. Going down the steps to our suite, The Lily Room, we're shown our own patio and grill. Inside our room, Jim and Beth had provided a generous food basket, rum, coffee/tea, spices, real flatware, dishes and stemware. Then we opened the refrigerator to find it stocked with drinks and snacks. The king sized bed to rest our heads, was very comfortable. Large beach towels were provided as well as beach chairs, floater for the water and a cooler. Throughout the entire week, Beth and Jim were always available. We did not want to leave. They made us feel like family and they have became part of ours. We can't wait to go back and stay in the Lily Room again. http://www.vrbo.com/513590

Sounds like "perfect" hit the nail on the head. So glad you had such a great time. Will keep them in mind for future trips. Thanks for sharing

How was the rest of your trip? Did you visit many beaches, etc. Sounds like your lodging choice worked out very well for you. Since this was your first visit, I'd like to understand if there were any surprises and/or issues that you had not thought about prior to your visit? It might help other first time visitors to be prepared.

We were staying in the Sugar Cane Suite last week, probably at the same time you were in the Lily Room. I, too, can not say enough good things about our accomodations and the hospitality shown by the owners, Jim and Beth. For a new property and new innkeepers they thought of everything to make us feel welcome and at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to stay there again in the future.

Wonderful to hear. I to was interested in the Lilly suite. How was the outdoor lounge? Is there a decent view from the little patio off the suite?

The patio lounge area was very comfortable. We grilled out a couple of nights and sat at the little table. The view is beautiful! You won't be disappointed :)
