My daughter's lovely gift

Post by mnfun2bme »

Hi All,
Because I incessantly talk about St John and my family knows how much I love this island, she did something a little special as a gift. She painted this lovely picture for me. Happy Hannukah and Merry Christmas to me!!

One Lucky Momma!!

Do you think after I introduce her to the island in a couple weeks she will want this back to hang in her own house?

Wonderful painting and framed beautifully, too! My guess is, that after being on the island and being inspired by STJ, there will be lots of Caribbean paintings for the family to enjoy. :D
Have a great time!
Friends, they go away then they re-appear...I believe there is Magic here.

Hi ColumbiaSC,
I am incredibly proud.... mostly because I don't have the talent to draw a stick man, let alone anything like this.

She also does lots of other art. I know she has the talent to be a professional artist.... I think it's understanding how to "break into" the business that's hard for a 25 year old. She has a facebook page at HUBER STUDIOS where she shows some of her other talents (drawing on skulls of animals, etc)... I know that sounds odd, but to the hunters of the midwest, I guess they think it's pretty cool. LOL I think her favorite thing is to draw people's pets. :)

I'm calling it 6 more wake ups!! (because we have to be to the airport by 3:30am, maybe I can call it 5.5 more wake ups!) Thank you for your lovely compliments!

What a nice painting and such a thoughtful gift. I am also in the "stick figure" drawing talent pool - LOL!
Hope you have a great trip.
