Trip Report June 12 - 21, 2013 Part 2
Friday, June 14, we were on St. John the same time as the Sahara dust. So the temperature was cooler than we anticipated and it was pretty hazy each day. The breeze from the trade winds on the east end of the island is amazing. In June, we actually got chilly at night without a/c. We decided to stay close to home today. So our beach of choice was Haulover. This is such a great place to snorkel. We bought an underwater camera before our trip, and this was the first time trying it. A lot of the pictures at first were the tops of the fish, but as the week progressed the pictures got better. Here are some from Haulover.
Look what we saw on the right side near the point.
The villa had this book in their library.

We shared Haulover with one other couple for a short time. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
We decided to explore Dreeket Road. The homes in this neighborhood are beautiful and views are breathtaking.

Back at the villa we were greeted by these battling lizards.
One actually got thrown into the pool on its back. My husband rescued it. We believe they were fighting over this pretty thing. It was pacing back and forth on the other side of the pool ledge.
Dinner tonight was at Aqua Bistro for Ponzi Tuna. We met our villa owners for dinner and had a pleasant evening getting to know them. The Tuna was excellent!! The appetizer portion was enough for a meal. When we arrived back at our villa we watched fireworks being set off on the other side of Peter Island. It was spectacular. We saw the tail end of the display including the finale. This is not the best picture.
