Simply St. John Villa?
Simply St. John Villa?
We're considering Simply St. John villa in Coral Bay for an October trip, but haven't seen much on this forum about this villa. Has anyone stayed there recently? Any other suggestions for a clean, comfortable, inexpensive villa with a great view and hot tub in Coral Bay? Thanks!

I stayed there with a friend in Feb. 2012 when we did 8 Tuff. The house is casual, simple, inexpensive and worked out great for us.
The views from the deck are beautiful and we got great breezes up there. Used the grill a few times but never the hot tub.
The house has a main building with kitchen, sitting area, bathroom; the other building is the bedroom. Lots of windows and doors for breezes.
I love the location - we were able to walk up to the house (slowy!) after 8 Tuff to avoid the outhouse, then back down the hill to Skinny's. The road is steep with lots of switchbacks, but paved almost all the way to the house. I spent the first and last nights there by myself and was able to find it in the dark without any problem.
We had some issues with noise from the house next door - a young couple with a baby that cried constantly. We could hear them talking on their deck and ignoring the crying child, which is kind of annoying and almost got to the point where we wanted to barge in and help. I mentioned this to the owner after the trip, and he gave me a small refund. Apparently that couple violated a 'no babies' policy. The other house is right next door, but you don't see it from the house or the deck. It wouldn't stop me from staying there again, but I would ask about renters in the other house. (FYI - my paperwork said Simply St John North - the other house might be Simply St John? From the VRBO listing for Simply St John they look about identical.)
