Nanny Point

Post by kklay »

Hello, I've been trying to read up a little on some new places, etc. to explore on St. John and found a short article about Nanny Point. This article says it is easy to get to on paved roads. I was wondering if any Forum member had a little more detail on how to get to this area? I'd like to explore on my next visit to St. John.

Thanks for any and all help!

You drive into the Concordia Campground. I have not gone further than the bench at Concordia, pictured by Gerald Singer http://seestjohn.com/st_john_life/tag/nanny-point/ As I remember, we were parked just up the hill from the bench in 2008; I am not sure if you can drive all the way down (I "think" you can) to the unpaved walking trial which appears to go out to the tip of Nanny Point. Recent news reports a fence with a pedestrian gate... http://www.stjohntradewindsnews.com/ind ... people-out .

I am sorry not to have a personal experience to share... Steve Simonsen did film the wild crab migration on Nanny Point last August... http://vimeo.com/48466065
