Trip Report 5/18 - 5/25/2013 - Part 1

Hello...

This is my first time writing a report so please bare with me .

We got married at the Westin, St. John in 2007 and come back every other year for our anniversary.

It was me, my husband, two year old daughter, my mom (babysitter) and my aunt to keep my mom company. We got up bright and early on the 18th and took a 50 minute drive to Dulles Airport. Usually we fly from DCA but Dulles had a direct flight to St. Thomas on United.

We had a smooth and uneventful flight.

We landed and went right to the baggage claim. While we were waiting I called Discountvi to come get us. They said not to call until we had all our luggage but I did anyway. By the time I called and told them what I was wearing, they were out front and we had all our bags. The car rental place is literally across the street from the airport. We were to get a Jeep Commander but when we were getting ready to leave the back seat belt didn't work and the A/C only worked on one side of the car. So they gave us a Chevy Traverse at the same rate.

Called Caribbean Villas while getting the car. At this time it was a little after 1pm. So I told them we would probably be on the 3pm barge to St. John.

However, my husband zipped through the beautiful hills of St. Thomas and we made the 2pm car barge.

As soon as we parked, I had to get a pain killer and enjoy the ride over to St. John.
