New trip booked

We were having a blizzard here in KC on MAY2!!!!. So. . . We scheduled our next STJ trip. Airplane tics and villa. Not until Nov. but still feels good.

Have you checked Spirit? I know there is a long layover...but going into San Juan then a cape air flight might be alittle better..I always say we are going to do that...but we never do..

Yes... I did check Spirit. Leaves at 1:15am (which doesn't bother me so much but it doesn't get in until after 4pm the next day.) UGLY for sure
If the Spirit flight got in by noon or something, I'd be tempted to go that route at $390/flight.

Last year I remember Spirit Airlines blowing out flights in December. I recall posting on the forum about RT flights from MSP on Spirit to STT for under $200. THAT WAS TEMPTING!!

Good luck with the flights. We paid about what we usually pay from KC. In the 6-700 range. That's as good as it gets no matter what my configuration. We went thru San Juan for the first time last year and loved it. Doing it again this year. Much less hectic arriving to and leaving from STT than in a large plane. Southwest now flies to San Juan, and I think they have some pretty reasonable flights. But I found they wouldn't let me book past 10/31. I'm not sure what it would cost to add on that SJU to STT leg

Southwest expanded their schedule to early January within the last week. Looks like a decent price/timing to get down there but the way home is not as pretty. May have to fly down and back on different carriers.

I was pricing Cape Air and the other (Cargo B Airlines- anybody flew this carrier). It looks like $160 to 240 ish, for Early Dec 2013.

Time to book, time to book!
