New Year Week ...is it crazy crowded? And villa question.

Post by Stjloverinnc »

Thinking of coming after Christmas this year and over New Year's Eve .... Have been 3x to island ... November, January, and March travel months. March was the busiest time .. Just wondering how busy it is over the holidays? 2nd question.. We want to find a mid range 4br villa on cruz bay side that is good for families with teenagers. We will be traveling with college aged kids and middle schoolers so would like something where they can walk to road and grab a taxi if they want to. We will have a jeep but know they will go their own way. Thanks guys!

I was there this past Christmas through January 4. It was definitely busy but not so busy that I wouldn't consider returning. We were able to eat dinner every night except NYE without a reservation. That night we had to wait 45 minutes, which was fine. My only issue that week was that Maho was very crowded each time we went there. It is my favorite beach but also a favorite for families with young children, and they went there in droves.

We went over to the BVIs on NYE and that was pretty nuts too, but fun. I wouldn't go to Jost that day with young kids, however your teens would probably love it. lol

Some places are closed on New Year's Day but not all.

If you have any other specific questions, feel free to PM me.
