many thanks for your advice

Post by loria »

hi all--
i wanted to thank you so much for posting all your tidbits for my friend recently -- he totally appreciated it! printed out the advice and really got a LOT out of his small trip. -- he left on saturday and had a crazy travel day--thru philly and SJU but arrived at the red hook terminal and met a friend from home!-- small world-- checked into tamarind, then went to the BB where he met a fellow solo traveller (a vet that had been there for a month) and they hiked into Salomon on sunday --he LOVED it (whats not to love!) --tried to hit the BB gathering -- but the tiles contest was in the way i guess....they ended up at Joes for BBQ (loved it too) -- he ate breakfast at cafe livin' everyday- raved about the spicy mussels at woody's , spent the next day at cinnamon, the day after at hawks nest and the morning of his departure at Caneel. loved everything (and got the 15% discount at CBwatersports!) he met a lot of great people hitching to the beaches and it was so fun to live vicariously for a bit -- and to see him have such a relaxed great time--
so thank you folks-- much, much appreciated by me and my dear friend.
< leaving on the 22nd of march...but too lame to figure out the ticker thing again!>

Great to hear such positive follow up. Another person who "get's it". Bet he'll be back!
