Updating St John Google Maps

Post by sherban »

Hi All, I'm begining to obsess over our upcoming trip in June, first time we are taking our kids! My method of madness is to review the various Google maps that have been developed over the years and to start thinking about which places on the maps I will visit. This year I plan to use my iPhone to map a few trails using the Everytrail app (http://www.everytrail.com/mobile).

I was wondering if someone would check my location for the BBQ place (Reggies) in Coral bay on the restaurant map...is this the correct location at this link? Thanks!

I think we have the definitive Cruz Bay dining map:

And our villa map is pretty good too:

Hi Sherban,
I think Cases by the Sea and Reggie's are actually closer to the road. If I remember correctly, it is directly across the street from Island Blues right on the road. I seem to remember sitting at the bar at Island Blues and being able to see it across the street.

I circled in red where I think it is. I could be wrong so maybe someone else can confirm.

Sherban do you know how many villas are on your map now? I added a bunch of new ones recently to correspond with our review system - but you seem to have a lot more.

I believe TrlJohn is correct. I also remember sitting at Island Blues seeing into Cases by the Sea.

Hi Anthony- No I lost track...that villa map has two separate pages...you gotta remember to go to page two to see the other bunch! ...and to be honest, it isn't my map anymore....there are 15 collaborators empowered to make any and all changes to it...that map is a true collaboration!

I would ...but, I don't know which villa this is...if you post a picture of it I'll pin it...or someone else can do it when it becomes a priority...

Well it is a very cool collaboration! I am looking for Cocotier too btw.

You can see our list of St. John villas here in the right hand column - finishing that project is something I am dying to do - we want to have a review page and map location for every villa:

http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/v ... s/st-john/

The names in the right column that are not links yet means we have no reviews and/or I don't have a map and a blurb about the villa.

Looking at both properties on a flat map, e.g. Standing on the road in front of both properties, Cocotier is to the immediate left of L'Arc Du Soliel. Hope that helps.
