Easy Breezes villa and a question about noise....

Post by loria »

We will be staying in this villa this spring. it is up in Calabash Boom. My son plays trumpet and has to prepare a piece for a 'competition' (i hate to use that term, it is really just a critical evaluation) for soon after we get back.
So, he needs to bring his horn (think it will fit in carryon!) and he needs to practice. He does have a practice mute, but it is nicer to play without it. If he were to play on the deck-- would he be disturbing others? I am not precisely certain where the house is and what the proximity to other houses is...of course he could play inside, but it's nice to have doors/windows open....and sound really carries. I would appreciate anyones thoughts on this or your knowledge of easy breezes relative to other houses- as we do not want to disturb the peace, but this evaluation determines his eligibility for all county inclusion and so he wants to be as prepared as he can.

I don't know about the breezes, Loria, but you brought back some memories with your mention of all-county! Is that just a NY program or is it all over?

i think it is just NY-- i know that Mass is always all state......and here they don't; get to do all state until 10th grade? there are some seriously great musicians though-- and if i can take a proud mama moment-- he is all county this year
