What to order from La Tapa or Asolare

Post by cindygad »

We will be on the rock in 3 weeks. I would like to try some restaurants we have not eaten at yet. So many recommend La Tapa what are your favorites foods from there? Also I saw they have Jazz music on Mon what time does that start?

Asolare is also on our to do list. Any tips for eating here?

I like La Tapa's appetizer that has three dipping sauces.

I would request an outside table at Asolare. We left without sitting down the one and only time we visited Asolare because the inside was too hot (and dark).

We've only eaten as Asolare once but the trio of duck was outstanding. We love La Tapa and my favorites are the langostinos, the ceviche, and the braised pork belly (all small plates) are wonderful.

Ate at Asolare last night ! Excellent meals! Salmon bouillabaisse and sea bass were terrific!

We just love Asolare. They make a cocktail called Moonbow which is absolutely delicious. I have tried to make it at home but only get close.

I concur on the moonbow cocktail at Asolare. I am not huge on cocktails but that one is really good. It has grapefruit and rosemary.

At La Tapa, we always get the langoustines to share as an appetizer.

Thanks everyone,
When I looked at the menus for La Tapa it had a lot of items we had never tried. We will definitely try the langoustines.

I put the info in my i phone so I can remember. Looking forward to the drink you recommend at Asolare too!
