Great Price on Jetblue

Post by P-600 »

I got a great price today on Jetblue from Boston to STT Nonstop both ways for $358 The flight I got was on Wed January 23 to Wed February 6th. I got an email with a coupon code for an extra 20percent but that didn't give me the option for the non-stop back so I just booked the regular flight. It's worth a look.

BTW I paid $420 for the exact same flight back in August when I bought that ticket for my son and the one I bought today was for his girlfriend (it's her Xmas present from him)

Thanks for the info!
I have been monitoring from Hartford for our April trip and ironically yesterday it actually went up!! So weird. It has been at 484, I checked yesterday and went up to 544.
Great price, enjoy your trip!!

Julie: We will be heading down from Boston for two weeks in April, and I had been holding off on buying tickets since the ticket price was so high ($941 RT), but prompted by your post, I now see that this was do to our choosing a Saturday to Saturday stay. Shifting the departure to Friday and return to Thursday dropped it nearly in half to $481, and leaving the departure on Saturday but returning on Friday only increased it $30, to $511. $430 is a huge swing for one more day on island. These prices are all for a non-stop down, stopping in San Juan on the way back. They are obviously subject to change, but the takeaway seems clear; the normative Saturday to Saturday villa stay exacts a significant cost in airfare, at least with Jet Blue.

We flew Jet Blue last year and on the way home when we boarded the plane they told us we would not be going to PR. Straight on to Boston. This year we used miles with AA and have layovers on both ways. Not ideal but $15 per ticket makes it worth it.

I think fares took a dive over the weekend. Spirit is running $273 RT from DC to STT mid week Jan & Feb. That's pretty cheap. I usually aim for anything under $400, and anything under $300 is a great deal.
