Rainy, stormy weather today in the islands

Post by Kentuckygirl »

So, what should we do? I don't think this is the typical short shower, or where we can just move to the other side of the island. I think it's going to stick around a while. Any suggestions? :D

Yes, I saw that EastEnder. It looks pretty rough. Do you think it will continue tomorrow?

Head to town for shopping/lunch then hang on the deck under cover reading a good book, then maybe grab a nap.

Head into town for some shopping and lunch.
Stop at the store and get appetizer food
Back to the villa for book reading and napping
Cocktail hour and appetizers that lingers into more appetizers for dinner and playing cards or a game.

That actually makes me jealous! I would love to do that today!

It looks like you are in for a stretch of bad weather. I'm not sure if you are traveling with kids or not, but there is a video store in the Marketplace that will rent movies to tourists. It's $4 for new releases and you can keep them for two nights. They have a good selection. There's a decent used bookstore next door to the video store also.

I would pick up some books and a couple of movies and then go to Starfish gourmet and stock up on some nice munchies and wine and just plan on relaxing at the villa. Make sure your flashlights are working etc. in case the power goes out.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Ooooh! I second the video store at Marketplace. Lost count how many videos we rented from there last year!

Awesome so far...shopping, lunch and drinks in Cruz Bay (Sun Dog Cafe was so good!), then it started to clear up so we decided to head northshore. We stopped at Hawksnest, just to check how it was today and haven't left yet
:D
I'll post pics later!
