June 2nd - We decided on Denis Bay for today. The coral there is amazing.

My husband went back out in the afternoon & saw the Permit. The same thing happened at Maho with the same kind of fish, so I didn't see either one of the Permits. Not fair!

June 3rd - We had Sunday brunch at Miss Lucy's. The pina colada pancakes were delicious. After eating, we went to Salt Pond, another great snorkeling spot!

June 4th - We got to Gidney about 9:00 & there was only one car in the parking area. Didn't see a lot of fish but it is a beautiful beach.

June 5th - We snorkeled S. Haulover & then stopped at Vie's for Conch Fritters. They were great as usual.

Part 3 will be back to Maho, Trunk Bay, Waterlemon, & Honeymoon.

Could I ask what underwater camera you use?
Can't wait to snorkel all these great places.

How does one get to Denis Bay? I can't visualize where it's at?

Awesome eagle ray shots! Did you see him at Haulover South or Vie's Beach?

Thanks for taking the time to post your pics!

Nice report and pics. We were so disappointed not to see an eagle ray this year. Your picture of it is great. Interested to hear that you snorkeled at Denis. We hiked down there one afternoon to check it out and thought it looked like it might have some good snorkeling. We didn't go back with our snorkel gear - maybe next trip.

We LOVE Denis, but haven't truly snorkeled that much there. That will change this year! AWESOME coral for sure!
And the eagle ray! Amazing! Was he at Haulover South? Any recs for where to snorkel Haulover South? Straight out? To the left? To the right?

Our camera is an Olympus Stylus Tough 8000. It actually started to leak about halfway through the trip. My husband would dry it out at night with the hair dryer. Guess we will have to get us another camera before the next trip.

To get to Denis Bay you park at Peace Hill & take the trail to the right. We went twice on this trip. The first there was only a few other people there but the second time there were two boats with lots of people.

We saw the eagle ray at South Haulover on the right side. We felt very lucky to see one.
