Waiting and waiting to take off in atl

Getting on island time early. Made us Check our bags at gate to leave on time. Full flight. Well. Now. Aux equpiment out. Won't let us take off till thy determine of st Thomas can handle us at gate??? They will have four hours flight time. We have no air. Hoping to get clearance soon!!!! Almost 30. Behind schedule.
