Car rental question

I am assuming the answer is NO, but do any car rental companies on St. John allow you to take their vehicle to St. Thomas? I've done it the other way around but wasn't sure!

I'm not sure what scenario you are thinking of, but a work around for this problem is to rent the Jeep on STT originally (from an agency that allows their Jeep to be taken to STJ). Then, you can move between the islands freely.

Not to jump in on your question...but who do you recommend for car rentals in St.John? We've used a couple of different places, some good some not so good. Just wondering!

I figured that would be the answer - my next trip is either a solo one or with my 13 year old and although we have rented from Dependable on St. Thomas many times without a problem, I prefer not to do so when my husband isn't travelling with me. My luck would have it that a break down occurs on that trip!

I will need to do some shopping on St. Thomas during my stay and would prefer to take the car ferry there and back once rather than at the beginning and end of my trip as well as to do the shopping.

In terms of St. John rental companies, we have used Conrad Sutton and Denzil Clyne with no problems - I have heard great things about St. John Car Rental too. Others can chime in as there are lots of opinions on this subject!
