Bongo Bongo too low for St. Thomas/sunset views?
We usually stay high up - Allesandra and Cloud 9, but I am considering Bongo Bongo for a future trip and I wonder if it sits too low on the Chocolate Hole hillside to get great views? Any thoughts?

We are actually considering Alessandra and Bongo Bongo!snorkelqueen wrote:We usually stay high up - Allesandra and Cloud 9, but I am considering Bongo Bongo for a future trip and I wonder if it sits too low on the Chocolate Hole hillside to get great views? Any thoughts?
Were you happy with the sunset view from Alesandra? Were you able to see the sunset from the hot tub? Curious also about the extra change for AC in the great room? Did you use it?
Thanks for your opinion!

We loved Allesandra. You have an extraordinary view from the deck and hot tub. If you PM me I will send you a brief video I took of the view with my Ipad. We have visited St John every year since 2002 and Allesandra is one of our all time favorites....That said I am always looking for different venues and I like the look of Bongo Bongo. (View from Cloud 9 amazing too but hubby may not be with us on future trip and the drive to Gifft Hill is a little scary for me at night)
We never needed AC in great room and we were there in June last year. Big fans, nice breezes.

Not a sunset...and not a sunny day. This was actually a 30 minute rain shower, but you can make out St. Thomas in the background to give you an idea of the view in that direction.

Great views from Bongo Bongo
We stayed at Bongo Bongo in 2007, and just booked for 2012. Obviously, we are fans. Awesome villa, incredibly well thought-out and supplied, great views and sunsets. Unfortunately, it rained for much of our last trip but the Villa Gravity was off the hook. Exceptional house, pool, and view. Highly recommended. PM me for pics and more info. Happy to help.
Bongo Bongo has a great view of the sunsets. I have quite a few pics because every evening the sunset was different. Great place to stay! We were there in 09 when it rained so much. Our vacation was saved by the luxury of Bongo Bongo. You can sit on the covered patio even in a torrential downpour and actually enjoy it!
