How last minute can you safely get a villa and a car??

So I have Dec 26th - January 7th off and am thinking of doing a last minute trip for a week or so.

How last minute can I feasibly get at this time of year for a villa on St John and a jeep rental in St Thomas? For those experienced last minute travelers, how much of a % discount can you expect to ask/get on a villa? How last minute have you traveled?

It would just be the two of us. An upscale villa for $1850-$2000 would send the plane to ST John instead of Florida!

We are going nearly those dates. Some villas are offering high season instead of holiday rates, some are offering no discounts at all (even this week), some are offering 15% off. There are still plenty of villas available if you aren't picky.

I think a jeep would be really hard to come by. You can go ahead & try to book a jeep & then cancel if you change your plans!

You can likely find accommodations if you look now - get a rental car confirmed asap either STJ or STT

I think you'll likely have trouble finding an upscale villa in that price range, key word being upscale. That is generally our price range and the options are limited in the off-season, but in high season that's going to be pretty tough.
