Just in time for Christmas! Sis Frank Estate Auction

Post by PA Girl »

I saw this article on the Tradewinds site -

http://www.stjohntradewindsnews.com/ind ... &Itemid=38

And then clicked on the auction site -

http://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/i ... =143727834

I just may be buying myself a Christmas present!

Lots of fun and interesting things to bid on - I would love to know more of the history of some of those pieces. Thanks for the link!

Sis Frank was one of the most influential persons to live on STJ. She had a very interesting life history. She was a very special person who had a love for fine arts and the children of St. John. She is missed by many and I hope the auction does well. (especially MY bids!)

Stay away from my (Choice #1) and (Choice #2)!

I wonder if she actually used the salts and spoons?

The auction description says she used the sterling flatware daily, which delights me.

I came from a family that kept everything locked away "for good" so it makes me happy that someone has/had the attitude to use things for "today" rather than "for tomorrow."

I first learned about her in the St. John People book. What a life it must have been.
