St John Inn Reviews
Has anyone stayed at the St.John Inn? We have been looking for a place for just one night that is walking distance from the ferry. So far they are the only place that I have found. Every other place is requiring more than a one night stay. Trying to see how easy the walk would be with our luggage? Did you like the place at all?
The Gallows and the Grande Bay look nice but are way too expensive for us. I would rather pay the one night fee to stay another night at our Villa than pay over $400 a night for them though. If we could get them cheaper then we would consider them.

Yes. They were our first choice. They will not book for less than one night. I checked with them to be sure.kmf4107 wrote:Have you checked out Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel, it is easy walk from the ferry, we booked to extend 8 day stay at Reef Bay cottage in January 2012. Reviews all seem positive.

We have stayed at St. John Inn twice before. Once at the beginning of a trip and the other time at the end. It's an uphill walk from the ferry to the inn, you take a right at the church just after the roundabout. We don't have small children to contend with but have found the walk to be warm but very manageable. The staff are very accommodating and the rooms are clean, air conditioned and decorated with bright colors and cool old furniture. Every room is different. They will accommodate one night stays and provide continental breakfast on the patio, helpee selfee. At the end of our last trip our eldest son opted to call for a taxi to take the eight of us down to the ferry dock and it's was a quick and pleasant ride. I think though if I was going to take a taxi there I'd do it for the uphill trip there. But if you are coming from your villa, drop the luggage off before you return your vehicle. If you are coming from the ferry, remember it's usually 88 degrees. Even walking uphill with no luggage in tow would be sweat producing! So, a taxi might be worth the small expense. But we usually just tough it out and jump in the pool to cool off. Overall, we love it there, and are booked again at the end of our trip in May.

Oh, it's an easy walk. You are right in town and we have gone all over town multiple times a day. To shop, eat and just hang out. Once you turn left onto the main road from the road the hotel is on you come up to the roundabout then you are there in the heart of things by all the restaurants and shopping. We love staying there. You can easily enjoy Cruz bay from this hotel. You do walk past a couple 'locals' hangouts but they have always been friendly.
