Forward to Your Roots

Post by stjohnjulie »

I've mentioned this little local restaurant before as one of my favorites, and favorite vegetarian places, and just saw an article on the St. John Source. Thought I'd point it out to you all :)

I love his lentil balls, could eat a mountain of them! My husband loves his local drinks.

Thanks, Julie, for the info about this place. Never knew it existed. Although I'm a meat eater, I like vegan food too. I pat myself on the back for eating healthy then go have another rum drink as a reward.

Can't wait to hear what Bert has to say about the lentil balls!
Friends, they go away then they re-appear...I believe there is Magic here.

Sounds like it's right up my vegetarian alley. I'm planning on making there for our next trip.

Thanks saved it in my 1012 vacay folder! While I am not vegetarian, I love variety and trying good seriously local stuff. Last trip I fell in love with local sweet potatoes!

I'm not a vegetarian, vegan, or like my husband, pescetarian. But I do love Forward to Your Roots for lunch. I was glad to see the article about it. A lot of people have never heard of it. They do put out a little sandwich board sign on the corner of the basketball courts, but since it is not on the 'main' road, most people don't realize it's there.

Oh, and I LOVE local sweet potatoes!! They are delicious. We throw them on the grill and let them get black and charred on the outside and they are so nice and soft and sweet on the inside :)

I saved the article in my STJ 2012 trip folder. Like Capn, I am not vegan but love variety and local food.
