Professional photos

My friend (who is traveling with us to St. John next year) just got back from Turks & Caicos where they had professional photos taken of their family at sunset. Simply amazing. I had been thinking of doing something similar next year but now I really want to! Any suggestions for photographers?

we were very pleased with the pictures we had done with Tropical Focus--would definitely recommend you check them out. Bob was a pleasure to work with and very reasonably priced as well. and we loved the results.

I love the way the kids are sandy and wet in the last photo, so many parents (moms mostly) would have a fit if their kids were getting wet/sandy during photos.

I really want to do family pictures but kept putting it off for various reasons. I am interested in seeing recommendations.

Someone on the forum had their daughter's senior pictures taken on STJ and they were really pleased with the results. Hopefully someone else will remember the photographer's name.

Bob did our family shots on the beach a couple of years ago! Great shots! I highly recommend him!

Thanks all. Any other suggestions? Would like to compare at least a couple before commiting. I have spoken with Bob via email and he is very nice but based on some of his suggestions for "fun" photos and what I saw in his sample gallery, his style isn't quite what we are looking for. I don't think his shots are of the same caliber of those my friend just had done. I may just end up having my friend take them with my "good" camera.

Thanks..these all look great. I plan to send out some inquiries. I would love to have Steve Simonsen take our family pictures but I am guessing he is probably booked and/or beyond our budget
