Fun-Sun-Rum-Rinse-Repeat! Trip Report! Day 4
Day 1: http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/f ... hp?t=21274
Day 2: http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/f ... hp?t=21284
Day 3: http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/f ... hp?t=21304
Day 4: Touring around Cruz Bay day and oh yeah, it's my anniversary!
Another beautiful day! Strolled over to the lounge for coffee and saw some people working out in the gym and thought . . . NAH!
So I walked around the property to take some pics instead~ View from pool deck!

Everyone's been asking us "Whatcha gonna do special for your anniversary?" Well were here! And that's special enough for us!
But something I've always wanted to do is just cruise around Cruz Bay, check out the neighborhood and look at other rental properties that I've been curious about.
First I walked past the cemetery thinking of the people who lived here all their lives and how amazing it must have been long ago before us tourists took over the place.

Then past Gallows Point to check out Every Ting, then over to Frank Bay.

I took Seagrape Hill up, up up to Battery Hill Condos and right by Hillcrest Guest House and that was a nice little workout! I walked down the hill back into town and felt a wash of spicy air conditioned goodness when I opened the door to St. John Spice!
I had a wonderful chat with Ruth and I am so amazed how she can keep up with everyone on the forum and remember their names and what they've been up to!
She sent me on my way with some TING and what better to mix it with than some Bones Rum right downstairs at the dock~

Took a little taste test and whoa! Strong but smooth~ picked up a bottle and then headed over to Aqua Bay Villas to help CODEN make jello shots for our big day out tomorrow with Capt. John Brandi on Palm Tree Charters!! Boy oh boy!
We had a really nice visit and after all that hard work she whipped up a batch of creamy, dreamy Bushwacker's to enjoy by the pool~

Made it back to Grande Bay to clean up and have Rhumbline leftovers for lunch and then met up with Betty to see how her fabulous house is coming along.
When we pulled into the driveway I could not believe the jaw dropping views!

I love her blog (http://stjohndreams.wordpress.com/) and how well everything is coming together! Now all that is left is finishing the inside & pool and landscape! The new crew will be starting up soon so looking forward to more blogging action in the coming weeks! Thank you Betty for the grand tour and so glad you are living my dream . . .
Back to Grande Bay to freshen up for dinner at a place we have never been to, *Cafe Roma*

They say this is the oldest restaurant on St. John and from the outside it doesn't look too impressive but I was sweetly surprised once we went inside!

We should have stopped with the appetizers but what the heck! It's our anniversary!

Mussels in a spicy marinara sauce and I didn't even take a picture of the calamari, homemade bread and olive tapinade!!

For dinner I had the cheesiest, most delicious lasagna! Now I know why the 10 lbs I lost before this trip have suddenly returned~ But worth it!

Kyle had some kind of seafood linguini with enough leftovers to tide us over for tomorrow night! Yea for a no cooking vacation!
Stuffed and happy we waddled our way back by the Cruz Bay beach and saw a baby nurse shark right there at the waters edge. We needed to get some rest for our big boat day tomorrow with CODEN, Laxcat & hubby with Capt. John Brandi!! OOh! I hope I can sleep!!

I want to live on that pirate boat that lives out in Frank Bay!
You all had a wonderful anniversary day. Thanks again for coming up and helping to make the jello shots.
I am now hooked on Bushwackers and my nutmeg grater from Ruth that I've been dying to buy.
Love Cafe Roma - glad you got there!
