Wow...one week till we go and....

hubby still has no clue. I am getting anxious to tell him about his surprise trip to STJ and Little Dix, but am gonna hold out until Friday. (We leave next Monday). I am going crazy trying to line everything up by myself. And of course we have had problems at home that have made getting ready for this trip impossible. Long story but we basically had a small leak in our wall. We opend up alot of drywall to find the flashing must have been installed wrong and it had been leaking for 14 years. We have gotten alot taken care of but we still haven't replaced the drywall. So not only am I trying to plan everyhting for the trip, but I also have to call every contractor hubby called and scheduled for the next two weeks.

Anyway, never thought I could have kept this a secret since February. Can't wait to see all my STJ friends. Stay safe everyone and hope Irene just brings some always needed rain.

I dont think I could have kept it a secret for so long..Good for you...I cant wait to hear his reaction...better yet...why dont you video it and post it for us...This was such a great idea..btw...

I can't wait to hear about it. There is no way I could have kept it a secret for so long, I couldn't even keep an upgrade secret when we went to Mexico last fall.

I can share in your anxiousness - I'm keeping the location of our honeymoon a secret until the day of our wedding -- it's so difficult to plan this trip and be so excited without giving anything away.

Officially bought plane tickets Saturday night, too!

I can empathize with the secret keeping. For my husband's 60th birthday I bought 2 tickets for a 9 day tour of Italy. Had to get my brother involved to write checks for the deposit, etc., in order to keep the secret. Had a surprise party of 60 people that he ran into when he came home and hit the "open" button on the garage. One was an EMT who said he needed to come so that when I told my husband, in front of the group, that he was leaving for Milan in 9 days, we'd be prepared for the consequences. Congratulations on keeping your surprise!
