Help!

Post by buffy »

Planning last minute trip and wondering if we will have sunny weather once Irene is through on Monday?? Planning on Wednesday arrival. The weather forecast is showing rain every day for the next 10 days but is that just the typical 20 minute blow through showers or is it going to be rainy for days on end? Thanks!

Hi Buffy! Welcome to the forum!
It's hard to tell you what to do or how the weather will effect travel plans. It seems to me that a tropical storm will bring plenty of rain but once it pushes out things should clear up pretty quickly.

If I had the choice of a last minute vacation coming in this Wednesday, I would go for it! 8)

Good luck!

TS or not, it is normal to see a 30% chance of rain every day. Those afternoon showers happen fairly regularly. It is always a good idea to bring something to do whether it's a DVD, book or knitting project for a rainy period. You may get rained on in Cruz Bay and find that not a drop hit your villa or Maho. My recommendation is to be flexible and enjoy the time you have there.

Thanks for the replies. My concern is that usually when I check the forecast I see a big happy sun for most days. But currently the 10 day forecast is saying "cloudy", "overcast", "rain", "showers" for pretty much the entire period. I guess I am wondering how accurate these forecasts are.
