Did he pass away? From their facebook page it sounds very ominous.

Yes he did pass away from a fall down stairs. He broke his neck. He leaves a 4 year old child behind and a pregnant wife. Stay tuned for fundraisers on his behalf. He did not have life insurance.

On a similar note, Amos Rutnik, born and raised on St John, died from a car accident recently. There is a fund raiser for him and I am including info here:
Amos was without life insurance and Cindy and the children are needing to make some tough choices about where and what to do next. In an effort to lessen the burden of those choices and to support her in a tangible way a Benefit Cruise has been scheduled for Sunday evening on Kekoa catamaran. The sunset cocktail cruise leaves the National Park Dock at 5:30 pm and returns at 7:30 pm. Tickets of $100/person for adults, $20/person for children 3 - 12 and free for those under 3 are all in support of Cindy and the children.

Reservations can be made by emailing sailkekoa@gmail.com or call 340-244-7245. Please include the number of spots needed

Kekoa has generously donated their time and efforts to provide this cruise, Rhumblines and Mathayom are providing ample food, St. John Brewers will provide beer, Tropical Focus will be offering photography throughout the cruise for families and T-Bird, Brenda & Whistler Doug will harmonize acoustically for the 2 hour sail.

There are still 30 tickets available. Please pass this on to anyone you think might be interested in participating in the cruise. This sail is in direct benefit of Cindy, Cristian and Jessica. It will alleviate an enormous burden. Thank you for your kind consideration. This is a time when the coconut telegraph is really needed.

I believe he cooked our meal last week and came out to our table to ask how everything was. It was an excellent meal. I am so terribly sad to hear about this and will pray for his wife, son and baby on the way.

Such tragedies these past few weeks.

What a horrible tragedy. His poor wife, I cannot imagine her grief.

Many prayers for these two young families. Life is not fair, especially when loved ones are taken from us so young. Very sad for these two young moms and children :(
